Alec & Alyssa’s Homestead Wedding

On July 8th, Mark and I got to photograph his “little” sister’s wedding, and y’all, it was an absolute dream. Alec and Alyssa are absolutely adorable to watch together, their friends and family love them SO much, and we could not have had a more perfect day.

They got married on Alyssa’s grandparents’ homestead in central Wisconsin, under trees that she grew up playing beneath. She got ready in the upstairs that she spent so many nights sleeping over in with her family. Her grandpa built the archway that they said “I do” under, and Alyssa designed and put up the decor on it. She designed, and hand painted the design for, their invitations, and all the bouquets and boutonnieres were hand made by herself and one of her bridesmaids. Her own bouquet included wildflowers she picked from the property.

It was a beautiful fairytale filled with so many personal touches, so much laughter, a few tears, and endless amounts of love. So thankful to have been a part of it!

I feel like this photo requires explanation. This was their “awkward family portrait” photo, ha. I think they did a good (bad?) job!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis! You are so loved!
